Job Description: This role is an opportunity to learn the art of selling digital media services like internet strategy, bespoke e-learning content, Search Engine Marketing (including SEO and PPC), Web Design and Online PR from one of the most successful teams in Brighton.

The successful candidate may be offered a full time role based on performance during the internship, providing a career path into sales, business development and account management.

Working for the Business Development teams, the Sales and Business Development trainee will:

  • Work with the Marketing and PR Manager to optimise the AI website for lead generation
  • Manage, update and maintain the company’s Maximiser CRM system
  • Qualify and allocate new business prospects to team members for closure
  • Set up and administer customer acquisition and retention email campaigns for the Marketing and PR Manager
  • Develop strategic account development plans with Sales team
  • Develop and maintain high quality proposal documentation
  • Client liaison on telephone and by email
  • Internal presentation and reporting of sales performance
  • Liaise with project management and implementation teams
We prefer the position to be full-time for 6 weeks.

Essential

  • Computer literate – MS suite
  • Attention to detail and well organised
  • Entrepreneurial sales prospecting and business development
  • Client relationship and rapport building skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desirable

  • Understanding of the training and internet market
  • Negotiation skills
  • Influencing skills

It’s not vital that you have experience in the above areas as on the job training will be provided. What is important is that you are able to think on your feet, problem solve and have the energy and enthusiasm to work in a challenging and rewarding work environment.
