User Experience - Clearleft

Clearleft is a small but well respected design consultancy from Brighton, England.

We work with clients from all over the world, helping them improve their online experiences.

Specialising in usability, accessibility and interface design, we’re best known for our work in the field of social software. As well as publishing books and speaking at international design conferences, we also run the popular dConstruct conference.

Job Description:	We are looking for a talented intern to work as part of our small team of user experience experts. You’ll be a passionate and well rounded individual with an interest in good design and usability. The type of person who loves reading design books, subscribing to blogs and keeping up on the latest trends and techniques. The successful candidate will be able to create high quality designs in Photoshop or Fireworks and then turn these into working HTML/CSS templates. This will be an active role with little handholding, so you'll need to be willing to work hard and hit the ground running. An understanding of user centred design and web accessibility would be a distinct advantage. In return you'll get to see how a successful user experience consultancy operates, from the initial discovery and consultation period, through the wireframing and prototyping stage, to implementation and final delivery. Working alongside our team of experts, you'll get valuable industry experience working on real-world projects with some of the best people in the industry.
